Gem Mint State. Pleasing red-brown surfaces, with incredibly high relief. An interesting, rare, and whimsical type.

 

François, born in Hungary as André Farkas, was a famous French cartoonist who had a very stylized, modern approach to his art. Here, close friend and collaborator of Ronald Searle captures the whimsical—and somewhat bizarre—nature of the latter's art.
