Facing head, with eyes closed; "Dreamer" in plain lettering to right // Nude female lying upon her back, holding up apple. Edge: Plain.
Attwood 48; The Medal 11, p. 78; De Beeldenaar –. Essentially as made. Deep brown surfaces, with incredible relief. Very rare, and from an output of just 20 pieces.
John "Paddy" Paddison was born in 1929 in Wolverhampton, spending much of his life and career sculpting and teaching there. He studied at the Wolverhampton College of Art from 1949–1952, and later at the Royal College of Art from 1952–1956. When creating this medal in 1987, Paddison was teaching at Wolverhampton Polytechnic. He later retired from teaching in 1994, and passed away in December 2000.
